I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.
These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that
At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!
FYI, these promos worked/stacked for me...
Promo Code - 50LATESTGALAXY5G $50.00
Promo Code - GALAXYWOTIREVS21FPUB $250.00
Promo Code - DENIEDFINANCING $73.68
Bundle Discount $592.94
Education Discount $183.35
Referral Discount(s) $108.00
(and 10% CB)
These did not work for me but YMMV...

This is for an S21 Ultra 512GB bundled with a Tab S7+ 256GB, Buds Pro, and MOGA controller.

My raku cb never showed up, but it was only 3%.
2) A lot of people did trade-ins. If they mailed the trade-in phone, the deal is locked.
3) Where do you get the idea that AMEX will force the customer to return the items instead of giving partial refunds? Personal experience or just a guess? I think it's latter because they absolutely give partial refunds if the retailers don't follow through.
Why do you think AMEX will be responsible for the partial refund? They'll give you the refund and take the remaining from Sammy. Credit card companies often does partial refunds if the retailer overcharges or does not come through with promise.

Yes, I agree samsung would be in the wrong for "promising" a price match (which is debatable because most of the overseas reps indicate that it'll have to be approved by supervisors in the future). I'm not arguing against that.
Point is, don't go into this thinking you're going to be slick and force your price match through a dispute with the cc company. Samsung will tell you kick rocks, and amex will tell you return the device.
Dear customer,
This email is regarding your order #XXXX
We want to keep you updated about the backordered item in your recent Samsung.com order. It is still planned to ship by the date listed on the My Orders page. If anything changes we will let you know.
Thank you for choosing Samsung
I am still waiting on my S21U 256GB and the smart tag but it doesn't say anything about backordered in the order page... strange but the S7+ tablet shipped already
After all my trade ins and coupons, the final price in the order for the tablet is 71 dollars...
How can I PM more off that price?

You are the one who is misconstruing the current sitatuion and doesn't know how the credit dispute works. Price match isn't free money.
This is a simple contract through and through. Both parties agreed on a contract and one party decided to renege it afterwards with arbitrary reasons that weren't disclosed before. If you believe this isn't a contract
"I had gone through the earlier chat and your order as well and would like to inform you that you are eligible and I see your order has been shipped I will right away forward your request to the concerned team and update you with a refund confirmation Email within 2 business days."
I don't know what is your idea of contract is. Considering there are many irrevokable parts of this transaction where one party has to ship a trade-in or return window has closed fairly quickly due to staggering shipping, if you believe Amex will just ask the customer to return the item, you have no experience in credit dispute or how it works, Be honest. Do you even have an experience with credit dispute in similar circumstance? I do. Even recently I got partial refund because the company decided to charge undisclosed fees afterwards. I was well within return window. But VOILA. After investigation, they just refunded me those fees. You know why? Because it wasn't part of the contract.
In fact in some cases (which is corroborated by many DPs online), AMEX will just refund the entire amount of the transaction if the company didn't follow with the contract in full.

This is a contract. They promised a PM. Now they are reneging. It's a bait and switch.
And if they don't budge, file a dispute with the chat transcript of them promising PM.
Now that I have phone confirmed, I may try for the tablet.
I did chat to attempt to price match the S7+ from 929 to 799 and was approved through chat and the issue was forwarded along to another department. Just received a reply that they couldn't offer a price match because prices were the same. Not sure about that. I guess something got misunderstood along the way. Anyway, they did offer 10% off. I replied that I accepted that and now just waiting to see a confirmed amount or see it hit my credit card. Will it be 10% off entire order? Just the tab? Just the discounted price of the tab? We'll see.
