I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.
These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that
At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

Settled for Verizon's offer to trade in a phone that can be as old as Galaxy S6 for $800 off in the form of 24 months of monthly credits. After accounting for buying a used S6 on Ebay for 50 bucks and receiving a net profit of $350 for my S10 Plus, my net cost is about $250 to upgrade to the Galaxy S21 Ultra 256GB which I thought was an alright deal until just yesterday when started reading numerous pages on this thread. I've calculated based on the stackable codes, the price match, my Amex plat offer for $200 credit, 6%CB, etc this deal would've saved me around an additional 500 bucks (instead of net 250 bucks to upgrade this would've been like negative 300 bucks). This would've involved selling off the Galaxy S7+ tab as well as the Galaxy Watch 3.
Its not only 500 bucks that would be saved, would also be free from being tied up with Verizon's service for 24 months to get the 800 bucks in credits back.
Too late to join the party and learned a lesson about being more careful about reading more closely into threads here before jumping into something!
Step 1: Order phone and request PM by chat - usually you need to send a screenshot at this point and will get some kind of approval/Chat ID and be told to contact again once phone shiips.
Step 2: Get phone shipment notification, contact via chat again with chat ID and usually get confrimation of the PM amount and be told it will be sent out for processing and expect to receive refund in about 2 days
Step 3: Receive email notification of refund and wait for funds to transfer.
I did step 2 on 3/10 and got confirmation I should get $250, but haven't received any emails/notifications since......ugh don't want to have to contact again
