Pretty shitty this year, no microsd card, only 1080p screen, no mst for samsung pay, nothing in the box like the akg earphones or the 25w fast charger. Doesn't matter what the big tech review sites say camera is definitely not a major upgrade over S20 Samsung must be paying a lot for the rave reviews to push the phone. Battery life is still pretty bad.

I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.

These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that

At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

Just tried to price match with Samsung via live chat and was also told to contact them once my order has been delivered. I took a screenshot and wrote down the reference # just in case.

For those that don't know, Samsung removed the MicroSD card slot. Greed is literally the only reason for this move. Force people to buy the larger storage versions.

In another thread they mostly denied already approved refund. They are not replying me for a week, despite reminders about refund they promised in February. I guess it's time to start preparing for a CC dispute.

I did so I am quite certain they will approve it. Especially since they did it for my other order after they had changed the policy.

It seems clear that the CSR's in chat don't have the authority to grant the price match. They perform a screening process of sorts but even if they say the PM is good that doesn't mean it will actually go through.

Lesson learned here. Don't buy anything where you don't know the price you are paying until after it ships.

Yes, I had a PM approved in February. The agent specifically mentioned $250 will be refunded back to CC. No warning that the agent's decision might be reversed. It didn't even cross my mind that Samsung may not honor. The way I see it, they changed post-factum conditions of sale. Will see if Visa agrees with me.

In my case, there was no ambiguity in the chat. I see it similar to Samsung promising to send a free case after the phone is delivered on their web page, then clarifying in writing that the order qualifies for a free case and when you already received the phone and sent the trade-in denied the free case.

I totally understand their sentiment with people stacking 5% coupons to get free stuff - not my case , but they seem to be acting outside of the original sales agreement with their retroactive changes.

100% agree. Getting denied after the fact is pure BS.

Fingers crossed that my PM goes through. I confirmed at time of order and even had a 2nd chat to confirm the confirmation. What the F more are we supposed to do?

Had to open a merchant dispute on the charge from Samsung. My transaction seems to represent a case of fraudulent inducement by Samsung. Their customer service reps gave me written assurance that I would be provided with a price adjustment upon shipment of my order. I placed my order based on their representations only for Samsung to then renege. It's total horse hockey for Samsung to do that.

After Samsung received the phone, there was an email saying they got the phone. Then two days later another email saying the trade in is successful.

I video the whole remove accounts, IMEI, factory reset, boot up, packing the phone in bubble wrap, packing the box with shipping label. Just in case trade in gave me any trouble.
