Newest harmony hubs (yours must be old?) work with IR, Bluetooth, and WiFi enabled devices. From the Harmony Hub product page:
"Control your devices behind closed cabinets and doors with IR, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® wireless."
Or, are you using the IR transmitter "dongles" to control the TV (not hub -> TV direct communication)? Regardless, the HiSense definitely has IR.
I'm thinking to wait another 9 months? 😆

I *really* don't want another device to plug in. I'm getting this to *reduce* the number of devices to plug in. The Harmony hub just adds another device, not to mention that the $150 hub remote is ugly and doesn't even have a screen. I'd have to spend ~ $300 to get the Harmony One. The wife and (little) kids are not advanced enough to use all this tech without the macros using a screen on the remote.
Seems to me that those Harmony remotes etc are somewhat unnecessary these days
Even my Direct TV remote will turn on/ off, adjust volume and change inputs

Not if you want one remote to control 6 devices. For that, harmony is still the best option.

I am trying to replace a 55" Samsung smart tv, which has a garbage interface, and the 4k Roku I connected to it. I literally just need a monitor with a decent smart interface, like this Android TV. I didn't think I'd have to buy a $300 remote and another receiver just to do that.
Ya dig? =]
