It's OK but these days better deals are out there.

If I was starting out and looking for a 12v line, I would go with Milwaukee 12v over Dewalt.

More variety of tools, many are brushless, better batteries, and more frequent deals pop up for Milwaukee 12v.

I agree and the recent Bosch 2 piece compact powerful 12V was a much better deal

I was excited about this until I saw that it was only 12v...not bad for a home owner who doesn't want to carry around a heavy drill. I've seen a lot of tradesmen carry these lighter smaller tools when they don't really need a bunch of torque to remove fasteners etc. I'm thinking more so HVAC techs, or low voltage installers, security techs, so on. Also for those with smaller hands, these tools are rather 'cute'. Go to your local store and check out their 12 volt stuff, it's kind of neat. Don't forget the standard for cordless tools used to be 12v not so long ago.
