Acer(this monitor) has an adjustable stand (tilt and pivot), but VP249QGR has a standard cheap stand.
Acer has faster ms and 165hz (OC).
Even though the Acer monitor has better options, it's $63 cheaper than Asus ($213 on Amazon as the best price recorded by Honey app.
They cannot be comparable.
Also, i have owned several 144hz budget monitors and they all did 144hz = displayport and 120hz = hdmi 2.0. Fyi.

I gotta look at faster ms response though.
I remember the Acer monitor deal from Costco was frustrating. It failed to recognize my Displayport because the monitor can be set to DP 1.1 or DP 1.2

Very good monitor, comes out of the box already overclocked to 165hz. Has a good stand that has tilt, swivel and height adjustable. It doesn't really have much in terms of cable management, but I was still able to hide the cables behind the monitor as best I could.
Performance-wise it is great. I personally switch to the G2 Racing mode, disable the on screen refresh rate and that seems to work well for me. I thought G1 Action would be a better mode for me since I play a lot of FPS games, but I found G2 Racing works better.
Speakers are actually decent for in monitor speakers. Nothing to get too excited about but OK for they are.
At the $211 price I paid before, I thought it was a good price considering what you are getting. At $150, this is a must buy if you are in the market for a 24 inch IPS 144Hz gaming monitor.
