If you've slept on RDR for the past 11 years, then there's no point in getting the vanilla version for $8. Wait for the GOTY version to be on sale for at most $5 more, like it has been numerous times before.

Native 4k 60FPS is an upgrade on the One X. Series has no problem with it while the Series S can only output 1440p 120hz.

As far as I know the GOTY has all the DLC, including Undead Nightmare.

It is not, this is not the GOTY Edition which includes that.

Iagree I picked up RDR GOTY almost 5 years ago now for $10, it's been on sale for that price many times since then and I recommend getting that instead of this.

I played this through on the One X, and the 4K upgrade is really fantastic. Series X does the same thing, and Series S does it to 1440p. Absolutely a great game even today.

Thanks OP. I've been slowly migrating over my Xbox library to digital and didn't get around to this one. The only game I didn't get digitally was Midnight Club LA, which is annoying since it's been delisted. I wish they offered an option to trade in a physical disk for a digital download code for games that have been delisted.

On a similar note but different game, I found the GOY Edition of Left 4 Dead at Walmart last week for $12. Pre-owned versions go for $30 & the digital version isn't available on the Xbox store anymore.

They did a patch that allows savings after using cheats. Hopefully they'll do that someday soon for rdr2 too.

RDR 1 was amazing and holds up well. You play as John Marston, the epilogue protagonist of RDR 2. This game oozes charm, great story, great acting - classic Rockstar - the horse riding and other mechanics are a bit clunky compared to 2 I really enjoyed it even after competing RDR 2.

The online for this game back around 2010-2013 was amazing. Then Rockstar let it go to hell with constant cheaters ruining it for everyone. Good memories

This game is worth it, I'm old man who can't enjoy games anymore, but this game was easier for me to play, so much story and so many things to do. Played for hours till finish, never got stuck or tired. Best game ever,

It's amazing how close this one is to RDR2 where the geography overlaps. There's a slightly dated GTA feel to some of the mission scaffolding (I occasionally would tell myself "gimme my paper!") but there's no reason to wait. It remains a great game today without any updates.
