This is the container that comes with the 5200, correct?
I was thinking about getting one of the blender bases with the 2.2HP motors, but most of those come with the wider "low profile" containers that are harder to use with less ingredients. I wanted one of these containers with the more narrow profile and 3" blades instead of 4" blades. My concern is that this container is only covered by a 3 year warranty, whereas I believe containers that ship with a vitamix unit are covered for 5, 7 or 10 years depending on whether it's refurbished, the standard series, or the new-gen smart series. If it breaks down year 4 or 5, that's an immediate $100+ tacked on, which could be meaningful.

I got a 5200 direct from Vitamix this past fall. It looks slightly different than what is shown here. Its got 4 blades like this one shows but the handle is different. It's coded in the same
black rubber-like materal as the lid. There's no orange ring and the top is wider than the bottom. I don't know if this is fake, but maybe isn't an older model. Seems suspicious...

I appreciate the feedback. I'm gonna take a pass I think.
Mine comes in Friday. I wanted it mainly for the improved easier open lid. Hopefully it is. I wasn't sure.
Ill return if not.
We bought our 5000 back in 1989. Still going strong. Only replaced the variable control resistor and the drive blade once. Our original 64 oz wet container is still good but was enticed by the easier lid removal.
