Does anyone know how long the AT&T cards are valid once they are loaded into your account? I believe the default is 90 days but I recall reading that it was only 30 days on the last Kroger/AT&T thread.
AFTER it's loaded, the balance expiration date: <$25, 30 days, <$100, 90 days, $100+, 1 year.
It's under their Terms & Conditions
So I want to do the cricket 40$ plan. 35$ with auto pay. How does it work with a gift card exactly? Can I get the bill to be 35$ paid twice from a 70$ gift card or will they take 40$ from the gift card and then 30$ and charge card for extra?
You simply load the card into your account as an account credit. For example, you can load a $100 card into your account, and then it will draw $35/mo against that $100. I'm fairly certain (though not positive) that you keep the auto-pay discount when you have an account balance this way, even without it pulling from your credit card.
No. It works for Ralph's/Shell partnership in CA. I live in CA and have done this before.
Just be sure to buy when 4x bonus is active.
I just checked, and it's pretty worthless unless you travel well outside of the SF Bay Area. Closest gas station to me was at Foods Co, 60 miles away, and the closest Shell station was 150 miles away.
I just signed up for the 8GB ATT for one year pay ahead. Can I still buy this and load into the account? Would that save for 11 months from now and renew? Assuming I'll be able to load $300 from now to then...

You could but no point buying so far in advance. Deal comes up every few months.
Took exactly 20 minutes to receive my card from the time the order went through. In the past it took less than 5 minutes. Never had issues with order verification and validation on Black Hawk Network.
Just got the $115 card since it says maximum discount is $15. Didn't want to risk it not going through, or worse, get less than 13% off. It was sent through e-mail in about 5 minutes after ordering.
First attempt at using the "Kroger" gift card site to save some $ on AT&T Prepaid cards. Checked out as guest and used the 59601 zip - no taxes, $200 card for $174. Card emailed in less than 5 minutes. Thanks!
You are limited to ONE card of a single denomination. You can buy multiple cards of different values, one of each.
I bought $700 worth in different denominations (200, 100, 115, 85, 125, 75). I used a credit card I had used with them before and it went through and I received the emails within 15 minutes. The fuel points are awarded on the pre-discount price so I earned 2800 points. Together with a little over 200 points from groceries this month I will have 3x 1$ off on up to 35 gal so if I manage to use it all this would be about another $80 to $100 discount (Kroger isn't always the cheapest for gas around here so the benefit isn't always 100% of face value). No sales tax on these in IN.
Btw for a couple of the cards the gift card link in the email didn't load at first (idled for a while then gave some server error) but it did after reloading the page. All cards worked right away except the $85. Cricket website kept giving me an error that the card information wasn't correct. I called the balance number and it said it had $85 on it. I tried again the next day (one last time before I was going to call customer service) and it finally worked. I copy&pasted just like I did for the other ones so positive I entered it correctly. Glad it worked eventually without the hassle of calling customer service.
I pay $100 a month for 5 Cricket lines and had done this des back in August when it was 15% off and only had $100 left (with 100 due in a few days) so this deal came at the right time. Too bad it wasn't 15% this time.

The Cricket website has been known to have issues accepting copy and pasted text even if it appears correct, especially if pasting ported number information. Glad the deal saved you some cash!
Anyone else have issues with the 4x Fuel Points loading? I have chatted and called Kroger and they are "waiting for the Gift Card department to add the points." Any suggestions on getting Kroger to add the points?

Checkout screen says:
"Fuel points will be applied to your account.
Fuel points may take 48-72 hours to be applied to your Kroger Family of Companies loyalty account."
