I don't have this cooler, you'll have to check the reviews for that. Or maybe someone who bought in on this deal can share their installation experience.
Yeah but that little ID-Cooling 224 -XT is a beast of a budget cooler. I saw a review on that showing it competing with higher end Scythe and Noctua air coolers. Pretty crazy for $30. I am sure the ID-cooling is quite a bit better than the hyper212 and Vetroo.
Is it the machines and more review or some other one?
This cooler is brilliant. I've been using it on my 5800X and it keeps temps as good as a 240mm AIO cooler does. Pinkytech also did a review with the 10400 CPU with good results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZW70X2PLrU
I just installed this yesterday. Showing slightly cooler temps than the deepcool gammax v2. Uses your stock amd mobo backplate and they provide a giant syringe of thermal paste.
Got the black version - this is PERFECT for the recent dell XPS 8940 deals - not 100% sure it'll fit the G5 desktop too but it should as cases are reportedly very similar internally.
It is totally plug and play - installs perfectly with no modifications - screws right into existing threads - clears RAM easy - height is juuuuust enough to fit into case without pipes scraping the lid - clearance is just a few mm - very quiet even at high loads - the oem case fan is way louder - brought load temps down from 100C to 65-70C on i7 10700 system - plenty of thermal paste if you screw up - fan build is very nice - has rubberized corners
Huh? The 212 Evo is $19.98 after rebate on Amazon right now, and doesn't have RGB aids.
The 212 V2 is $29.99 on Newegg after rebate.
Pretty sure a botnet is chain upvoting this thread, because this isn't even a deal, let alone a slick deal.
Thank you. I think cooler master is better than this vetroo. But when this vetroo was posted, the cooler master is in the range of $30-$40, otherwise I would have bought cooler master.
Good cooling so far. 120mm Fan has nice ARGB lights and they match very nicely with my MSI 100R case fans; however, if you look really close you can see individual LEDs. Runs quiet as well.

It's almost identical to the Hyper 212 Black Edition in design and mounting mechanisms, but this one has 5 copper heatpipes vs 4 on the Hyper 212 BE.

It's ver easy , barely an inconvenience. Put on 2 brackets ( for amd or intel chip ) and screw 4 screws and plug in the rgb.
