The 4600H model has lesser heat generation than 4800H model due having 2 less cores and it actually performs better in gaming than the 4800H version because AMD Smartshift now able to deliver more power to the GPU. Jarrod Tech has reviewed both versions and found the same result.
Dude, all gaming laptops come with proprietary Charger because they need more than 100W Power which Type-C can provided at max. Now, some of the newer Gaming Laptops also started supporting Type-C Charging but that's only for normal usage and performance is very restricted on that + those are costlier models and they still use proprietary Charger as during gaming or higher workload, they need more than 100W Power.
And Touchscreen...How many gaming laptops you have seen coming with Touchscreens?
I understand you are trying your best to show the faults of a $700 Laptop having 6 Cores and a pretty solid GPU but before you do that, upgrade your knowledge a bit because it is lacking.
remember to use the dell $100 off (for a $500+ purchase) through amex to bring the price down further

And you lose DLSS which is becoming more of a game changer.

That would be for the 4600. This is the 4600M which is about half as fast as a 2060. It is more like a 1650.

It's the 5600m. He is correct, it is very close.

I meant 5600M. Mixed it up with the processor.

I was only looking at the Passmark score though. I guess that is not translating to real world performance?

Radeon RX 5600M ×GeForce RTX 2060 ×GeForce GTX 1650

G3D Mark 7728 13887 7732

I never look at Passmark scores, honestly lol. Never translates to viable, real world shit. Look at that RDR2 benchmark, it's really weird lol.

Thanks for the info. I built my last pc around nine years ago and it just died. Looking for a replacement and I am way behind the learning curve these days.

What's the upgrade situation on the ssd and RAM? 256/8 both seem too small.

So, an extra few bucks for that.

The Dells laptops are not the problem. Intel has set the voltage too high on the processors. Top tier brands lower the voltage by 100mV to reduce temps.

No, Dell is the problem and the G5 series in particular.
More Heatpipes, more Fans, and other designs.

But this is a Slick Deal and very good Deal.

There was a similar deal for $400 more but had a 4900 Ryzen....
Definitely not worth the price since the Dell G5s are thermal limited.

This is $400 less but a more appropriate CPU for power and power needed for the GPU at a nicer price point.
