Consumer Reports rated the 750 #1, the 5200 #2, and the A3500 #3 overall in the full size blender category.

If I have a costco membership and I've always wanted a vitamix, should I be buying from this deal, costco, or wait?

When does the deal / code expire? Didn't see that in the OP.

Trying to decide on the A3500 or the Vitamix 5300 (Sam's).

Thanks

Can this crush ice to make it Slurpee or Icee like?
Yes and no. It will make a frozen mixture incredibly smooth, similar to what you would find at a Tropical Smoothie. Icees are make by Frozen Carbonated Beverage (FCB) machines, with the carbonation providing gas bubbles to make the mixture lighter and bubbly.

You can make a super smooth frozen smoothie/margarita/fruit-based-soft-serve, but it's not going to be quite Icee like without some CO2 and a pressure chamber.

I did a ton of research before buying a Vitamix E310 earlier this year. It's worth noting:

There is some concern [npr.org] about plastic with endocrine activity leaching into food from the Tritain containers, but there is an overpriced stainless steel container available. This is the first stainless container they have launched in years and it produces really good results, but has some literal and figurative rough edges. I've cut my hand on the edge of mine and the painted graduations are already coming off. However, it produces good results so I'm happy with it.

All of the blender bases have functionally identical motors, as confirmed by Vitamix reps. The more expensive models have presets and programs, longer warranties, the ability to recognize the new generation of blender containers, and the ability to use the Vitamix food processor attachment. The blended product they produce will be exactly the same. If you don't need your blender to be a food processor and you're comfortable turning a dial, there is no functional advantage to getting the more expensive unit. The less expensive E310 will give you exactly the same result as the A3500.

Make sure you pick the right container size. Some of the containers are better suited for large batches and will struggle with smaller batches like a smoothie for 1 person. Some of them also will not fit under a standard counter top. Picking the right container for your intended use and batch size will save you some headaches.

Lots of information and reviews are made by Vitamix affiliates who make a commission when you buy through their links. Some of these sources have good info, but I take it with a grain of salt due to their obvious biases. FWIW, I have no affiliation with Vitamix and have been really happy with mine, but a lot of the Vitamix love online comes from people with a financial incentive to hype the products.

I went with the 750 to replace my old creation series (sold the old one for $25 less than I paid for it after 7 years). I'm really happy with it. I prefer the manual control over the "smart" controls.

I am not saying Vitamix blenders are not excellent. Their pricing structure reminds me of Snap-On tools. They make good stuff but charge a kings ransom for a simple utility.

switched from blendtec to A3300 (purchased last year's black friday). The vitamix is not as loud, and I like the tamper when mixing more solid stuff (nut butter, dough etc). Other than that, blended cocktails are very similar. If you get a vitamix and want to use it for 1-2 portions I would recommend getting a 48oz container, it just mixes better for lower quantities.

I ordered a refurbished 5200. The white was the only color left. 5 year warranty on the refurbished.
