Thinking about retiring my blendtec and switching to this one. Does anyone have experience with both?
switched from blendtec to A3300 (purchased last year's black friday). The vitamix is not as loud, and I like the tamper when mixing more solid stuff (nut butter, dough etc). Other than that, blended cocktails are very similar. If you get a vitamix and want to use it for 1-2 portions I would recommend getting a 48oz container, it just mixes better for lower quantities.
I am not saying Vitamix blenders are not excellent. Their pricing structure reminds me of Snap-On tools. They make good stuff but charge a kings ransom for a simple utility.
Vitamix isn't cheap, I agree, but it's hard to argue with results -- Consumer Reports ranks them first, second, and third in their overall reviews of full size blenders. They have a 10 yr warranty new, a 5 yr warranty refurbished, they're American made, and have become a kitchen status symbol (similar to the ubiquitous Kitchen Aid mixer).
If I have a costco membership and I've always wanted a vitamix, should I be buying from this deal, costco, or wait?
The advantage of buying from Costco would be their excellent return policy. That said I was in the market for one and went with this deal instead. We had our eye on the 750 bundle but if you look closely, the Costco bundle only comes with containers (I don't think they attach to the machine) @$599. Made my own bundle using this code, with the personal container attachment that actually attaches to the machine for $550. Got to choose the color too, went with the pearl grey/stainless, Costco only has black. I'm also getting a pro that has the presets, Costco's is the basic 7500 that does not have them. Not too worried about returning it. We're upgrading, our old 6300 is almost 10 years old, and still works as good as the day we bought it. These things are built like tanks and they come with a 7 year warranty.
Want a real Slickdeal? Get the brandless blender with a discount code. $70 and BETTER than Vitamix/Blendtec
I'm curious about these brandless competitors Ive seen on Facebook Marketplace.
How can they afford to sell blenders so cheaply?
The Tornado Blender is one example. In my experience, these knockoffs just don't work as well. Either they're extremely loud (Ninja Blender literally is the most annoying pitch imaginable) or will get dull/break soon after regular use. But that Tornado Blender is $179 - so what you're really getting is a weaker warranty policy and slightly noisier blender. Not sure its worth it unless you're on a tight budget.
I got the Ninja Blender Pro Series 720oz @ Costco for $55 with 3 blades. A Vitamix container replacement or extra container is $144. If my Ninja blender breaks, I will buy another one. I agree Vitamix is a status symbol but so are snap-on tools for mechanics.
If you care what other people think, by all means buy a Vitamix.
Ninja blenders are great, but you're missing the fact that Vitamix's are better than Ninjas, in general... the top 3 reviewed models are all Vitamix brand, not Ninja.
Also, come on... there are reasons people spend more money on status brands, like Gucci or Rolex... it's just better when status brands also function better than cheaper brands.
I have owned, and currently own several KitchenAid products. Let me just say.......NEVER AGAIN!
They, like many other companies, are a pain to deal with regarding warranty work! And that is......if they approve it to begin with.
They will figure every way possible NOT TO WARRANTY IT! Boils down to their quality. It is poor!
Kind of like....... it's what you don't see that you should be concerned with!
But, alas, that is becoming true of so many products today!
Not sure on Vitamix? I owned one many years ago and it was a tank!
Gave it to my daughter who still uses it today. Wish I had it back, but I know the names she would call me if I asked! LOL!

Did exactly this a while ago on the 310 deal here. REALLY glad too because the first was bad! Contacted BOTH Costco and Vitamix about the issue. Vitamix took forever to respond, and then sent canned form emails with a plethora of steps to TRY not fix. Realized was waste of time so contacted Costco and had replacement shipped immediately, painless and FREE....

Trying to decide on the A3500 or the Vitamix 5300 (Sam's).
Thanks
I think it'll expire end of Feb

You can even make your own vanilla ice cream from scratch but I find that's a bit too much hustle and grind.
If you care what other people think, by all means buy a Vitamix.

It does not include a "S2 low profile container" but an "S2 low-profile tamper"
