I was contemplating buying the SXK80 directly from Netgear, as they offered a 10% coupon, and I even had it in my cart for several days at $629 plus tax ($699 minus the $70), but then I recently went back to checkout and they no longer sell the 2-pack on their site anymore, directing users to buy from "retailers." Interestingly, they sell the 3-pack and lower models, just not this particular 2-pack.
I went to Newegg and found that they're offering a $100 discount with a code right on the product page, so at $599, it's a better deal.
The code 28WTRCLS243 supposedly ends tonight, and while it's a bit concerning that it might be replaced with a newer model (maybe with Wi-Fi 6E?), I really do need to upgrade now and I don't know when I'll be upgrading to any devices with 6E in the near future, so I bit the bullet on this.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone is considering the upgrade to 802.11ax. I'm returning my RBK852, as it really lacks any sort of customization I'm looking for.
Newegg also offers Quadpay (four payments every two weeks), in case $599 plus tax is still pricey.
