I got the SKX50 and 30 on the Black Friday deals. The software on these is insanely capable. If you like DD-WRT, you will like these.

I've got two of the 50s, and it covers my 3000 Sq ft house quite handily despite my internet coming in on one end.

The orbi tend to have a stronger signal than other options, and the pros have the most software capability.

As I understand - no. This is why I personally grabbed 2 sets to get another satellite (will have to sell the router)

While having a 2.5GB Internet port is great, hopefully the next version has 2.5GB ethernet ports for internal as well. Not going to be getting 2.5GB external for a while anyway, but I already have devices internal that are capable and will work well with the higher speeds of Wifi 6.

thats not true at all. I've been using an older Orbi Mesh system for many years now with ZERO issues (in AP mode)
just picked up 2 of the 2 packs (cheaper then 3 pack) looking forward to the VLAN ability.

Unless they nerfed it, wireless backhaul is one of the great reasons Orbi was a game changer. It's dedicated and always worked perfectly for my original RBK50 set.

I have a mix of wired and wireless backhaul and never have any issues. Just need to upgrade to a newer set of Wifi 6 but waiting for 2.5GB backhaul ports and 6E.
