Thanks, bought. Been looking at orbi routers to replace an RBK50.

Almost bought the SXK50 for $200 yesterday, which is probably absolutely just as good (or equally overkill) for home/work from home use: https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Tr...7e17e03685

Note they do have a two pack of the 750 line - RBK752 - for $280, which is also a good deal: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086HJX..._tit_nw_mr

There were some bad reviews regarding difficult setup on this set. Though skeptical, I pulled the trigger around Black Friday sales for $240ish(?) and it couldn't have been easier to get going out of the box.

The only issue I ran into was a printer that was previously set up with a WPS button on my old Netgear Nighthawk, which this Orbi Pro does not have, but I was able to sort through that.

If you rely on WPS for many devices, maybe pass on it.

Enjoy! Glad it could help someone. FYI, SXK80 is higher end than RBK752 as SXK80 is AX600 and RBK752 and SXK50 are AX4200 and AX5400. Here you can find the difference between SXK30, SXK50 and SXK80 models: https://dongknows.com/netgear-unv...up-switch/

Nice! I missed out on the black Friday deals on this one and while it is a bit more expensive I figured I would pull the trigger on this one based on all the feedback on those threads.

I have so many devices on 2.4ghz it will be nice to have something dedicated now.

Is two enough really enough for a 6,000 sq ft house?

Can you buy two sets and connect them if necessary? Seems cheaper than buying one and an add on a single separate.

Looking for honest feedback, on a RBS50 system with two additional nodes. I like it and it works OK, but I'd love to upgrade to get better wireless speeds (plan gets 1200 Mbps down). Im not dying to move away from Orbi because it works well enough, but I see systems like the Eero Pro 6+ for a fraction of the price (when on sale) and can't find any solid definitive advice on what's really better than others. I know the Eero was rough at launch, but so was the RBS50 set. It's been flawless for a few years now.

Any thoughts on other products that are better at a lower price than the Orbi (Eero Pro 6+ at just over 400 is a target for me) but really open to a solid, reliable product.

I have the Deco X60 from Costco and they're working very well cover more than 7500 sqrt. Cost me $220 a year ago and plan to purchase another one for my sister. However, I'm interested in this Orbi as well. Does anyone if this is better than the Deco in term of performance, quality or connection?

I have a 3 level 4300 sq ft home that I was using the older RBK50 router with 3 RBS50 satellites
It worked well, never had any issues with it, but it is 6 years old now, and I have 1GB internet now
Time for an upgrade (I also now have a few computers with wifi 6)

I bought the NETGEAR Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Tri-Band Mesh SXK50B3 (which is the router with 2 satellites as a kit for $299) then I bought an extra SXS50 (for $99)

I just replaced my old Orbi system, router and satellites all in the same places, my download speeds went up noticeably in all locations. Signal to the end points are better too.

For me this was worth it. Better the whole way around.

I only had one issue with setup was trying to get the extra satellite I bought to sync, took 3 tries, but then it worked. Updated all the firmware to the newest and all was good.

Oh that's weird, what's the difference between the 1 pack and 2 pack them? The 1 pack also has a pic of satellite and router

Avoid these at all costs. I bought 6 pairs (base + satellite) for our office locations and so far 3 have been extremely unreliable (connections dropping, unable to connect to wifi, wetc).

Firmware is updated and constantly power cycling them does not fix the reliability problems so I'm moving over to ASUS mesh routers instead.

Fairly certain you may have saturated the wifi signaling by placing too many satellites at too close to each other. I bought the 4 pack during the BF, then I added one satellite from the 2 pack $244 deal to make total 4 satellites. Contrary to my expected, it turns the entire network unstable, devices constantly dropping connections. Soon as I turn the extra satellite off everything back to normal. Alternatively if tune down the signal strength to 50% then all work in tandem. So beware of the SXS80 delivering very strong wifi signals. It'd be ideal though if the signal strength can be adjusted on individual satellite.

Also beware each time you change the setting, the network tends to take a while before it regains the stability. Sometimes it may take 30 min to an hour. But once it finds all the devices it'll likely stay on it for good. it really depends how intense your neighborhood wifi.
