So technically it's better but this should have been normal price for it
As for design/durability, speakers its a wash. Even.
Killer deal if someone's looking to pick this up; trade value on an S4 is great right now. Check your local sources, you can find a S4 Tab for $150-200'ish and if it's clean, use it towards the trade in!

The Samsung is ok for productivity, but not as fast as the iPads if you do a lot of hardcore photo/video editing. For note taking, the aspect ratio of the iPads is nice because it gives you a lot of width to write/type in.
If you want a tablet to just kickback and watch something, the Samsung tablets are absolutely the choice, no question. The OLED panels destroy the LCDs in this department. Now that I'm out of school, the iPad isn't as necessary for me. Most of my work is in Computer Science and the IPads do not support coding.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that you can get system wide ad block by using Blokada. Also, web browsers have better extensions support because they are not forced to use WebKit like in iOS. Plus torrenting if that's your thing.
