- Make sure you install the S2721DGF drivers from dell and use the .icc profile that comes with said drivers.
- Also very important to set the color mode to 10bit from 8bit in your GPU display control.

Update: They do pair nicely, S2721DGF seems to be big upgrade from the S2716DGR.

It seems much of this is based on scarcity, but I've also seen more than a few people confuse the M27Q with the lower-end G27Q, so that could also be a factor. Regardless, I'm highly skeptical that this display is better than the M27Q "in every way" lol--actually, I've yet to see any significant difference between them that didn't favor the M27Q. But like I said: I'd very much like to know if there are any.
dell uses lm270wqa-ssa1 gigabyte uses lq270t1jg08. Even if both monitors use the same panel, personally I would still go with dell. I'd gladly pay the premium for their reputable lcd controller board.
