Last time this deal came up, new reviews stated Adata changed the controller. Probably not a great deal anymore.

Very nice speed
Sequential read/write speed up to 3500/3000 MB/s,

Wow almost same speed for Samsung EVO Plus

same speed for reading but writing 3000 vs 3300
Take with a grain of salt. There are 4+ different versions with the same part number. Speed will be subpar from original. Be wary of this company.

Yep, first release a great product to get great reviews, then silently swap parts for subpar/inferior parts without changing the model number or telling anyone about it. Not cool. Used to buy ADATA SSDs and never had a problem with them, but these recent moves made me pass on this brand, unfortunately.

512GB XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 SSD

54.99 with clipped coupon.

Not a doorbuster, but possibly the best value available with what appears to be an all time low price on a solid performer and frequent favorite.

54.99 (with FS and additional 5% back with Prime Credit card.)

Not sure where you're getting your numbers from, but sequential writes on this model are 2350 MBps, not 3000

I bought one of these from amazon warehouse for $48 and one from best buy for 55. Buyers should be aware that adata has switched the controller on these drives. The advertised speeds are with the original, an SMI SM2262EN, now they come with the slower-clocked SM2262G) I experience about a 15% drop in speeds with the slower controller.

If this is true, its kind of disappointing, but explains the significant price drop. I picked one up for about 70 a year or 2 ago and its a great performer. Will need to test the one I ordered.

Yep, would be a great deal if you got the original controller onboard.

My old 240GB SSD is nearly full... seems like this is a great deal for $60, even if the speed is lower than the original version. My personal use is just for a casual gaming rig.

Any concerns about long-term reliability?

Avoid this brand at all costs. They've changed the controller and various parts of the drive multiple times over the past year or so.

1tb model has $10 off coupon ($110 after coupon) and 2tb model has $40 off coupon ($200 after coupon). not sure if the coupons will show up for everyone, but i imagine for many they would.

sketchy practices aside, casual users and gamers may not notice a difference. the price now reflects a more budget-oriented ssd, and if the performance is still good for the price, i think many people would still benefit from this deal.

This seems to be the business model of most amazon third party businesses. Amazon also lists the reviews with "Most helpful" which is generally tied to the initial release of the product. I always make sure to check the "Most Recent" reviews and if I don't see bunch in last 3 months, I'm not buying.
