I hope the reviews for the HP260 are valid (especially those comparing the different models of Duck brand packing tape) as I was quite disappointed with a recent purchase of the Duck brand EZ Start packing tape (the cheapest I could buy at Wal-Mart... what could be wrong?).

The tape material for EZ Start is hilariously flimsy and lacked the elasticity I expect from packing tape (the tape borders on brittle, being easy to separate which I suppose has its purposes/benefits in some applications). Then there was the strong and unique smell suggesting a different (probably cheaper) adhesive formulation relative to other packing tapes. This price isn't saving a bunch over Wal-Mart's cheapest, but if the quality is an improvement and I won't give my wife reason to complain about the smell (since I keep a roll handy in our mail center cabinet... where the glorious smell builds up to await the next sucker opening the door).

Good luck!
Jon

Also second, this really isn't the greatest tape. It doesn't stick well to boxes, which is kinda like the whole point of tape...

can you recommend a good sticky shipping tape? both the Duck 260 & the OP one seem to have issues sticking.
