Made of nylon.. don't do it unless you want sweaty balls. I have these and wish I never bought them. Modal or cotton is the way to go.

I gave up on this company as well. Same issues with quality -- wastebands stretched out and pilling like crazy. Not worth premium pricepoint for this brand IMHO.
I started buying these about 8-9 years ago, slowly rotating them into my wardrobe. I am just starting to have to throw out pairs, they lasted that long. I bought a couple pairs about 4-5 years ago and they are pretty good. I did switch to MeUndies and have been happy. I usually wear my exofficios on the weekend.

Slickdeals: the one stop shop for junk advertising for amazon's dumps of overstock that isn't moving.

Great deal. Some say the quality dropped, but it hasn't been significant, in my opinion. I have pairs that are 5+ years old that look and feel fantastic. I probably don't actually need to buy anymore, but I just like them too much.
If your pairs are 5+ years old, you wouldn't know about the quality drop.

Interesting - I bought these ~12 years ago and were my favorites. Lasted for a long time. Interesting to hear people wonder if they "upped" their quality - makes me wonder if they "dropped" their quality.

Any recommendations on a good modal pair that doesn't have pilling after a few washes and no waistband stretch

Hope somebody reads this. These boxers have become TRASH over the years. While the GnG travel underwear was designed for backpacking and long distance traveling, somewhere between the vision has been lost. They bunch constantly. They ride up. The dimensions are off. The size changes vastly after a few washes. The texture becomes pilled.

I can go on but why bother
Came here to say the same thing. The ones I bought 6-7 years ago are still going strong, but the ones I bought last year are terrible. On top of what you've said, the waistband has lost its elasticity. Trash

Just as a counterpoint to all the hate these things are getting: I've bought a number of pairs of this underwear within the last year and it is still some of the best underwear I have ever owned. At $6/pair, this is a no brainer. I don't doubt you can get much better at retail price, but this isn't retail. It isn't even close to the price of other premium undies. It is dirt cheap.

Great deal. Grabbed a few more pairs.

Well here's the thing.

Those 5+ year pairs WERE the good ones. The newer ones all have been poor quality in my experience. They used to be my favorite. I stick with Duluth now.

One more for the same:

Elastics finally started to go on some pairs I've had for years. Having seen comments here on quality, instead of stocking up I bought only a two pack on a deal like this. Not the same waistband, not the same fabric. Both have lower quality.

They only trend because people recommend what the used to be. I won't be buying again. Fan of Adidas climalite - I bought for running - but also still be trying other brands I see recommended in these threads.

Thanks all for your comments on alternatives.

I was a huge fan of these and own several pairs from back in the day. People are absolutely correct, the new line has a huge drop in quality and is not worth the premium being charged. I have recently got into Duluth Trading brand and they are much much much better. Their "Buck Naked" line is seriously awesome.

Thanks for this input. Was ready to purchase. I have many pairs that are well over 10 years going strong. Disappointing to hear the quality has changed.
