does the price breakdown for returning the tool or battery alone?

Personally, I'd never grab the 3/8" impact, I'd always grab the 1/2" - so to me it seems like a waste. IMO, getting the battery (and maybe not using/needing the charger) for $99 is a better option.

Have you tried it on removing lawn mower blades?
My lawn company has one of these in each truck, works great for mower blades, truck and trailer tires, and other chores. Most of ours are a few years old, used almost daily.

I have a few Ryobi tools, a few batteries, lamps, fans, and just recently got me an 18V brushless drill. Do I need this impact wrench? Is it worthwhile to spring for the brushless version of this?

Been working on more home improvement stuff lately with stuff breaking around the home. Help out a newbie DIY'er Smilie

IMO if you're in the market for an impact wrench, this $99 will get you a long way and is not worth the extra $ for brushless. Having said that, if you haven't come up against seized or rusted bolts on vehicles that have caused you to swear, then look around to see if there are any kids nearby that heard, you may not 'need' this tool at all right now. Note, this is an impact 'wrench' not an impact 'driver' and would be used mostly on cars using impact sockets attached to it for work on wheels and suspension projects and potentially on lawnmowers if you have that need.

I work on rusty cars a lot, and I definitely recommend the 600 ft/lbs brushless version for that. More so for the larger bolts as anything tiny that is seized will just snap with excess power anyways.

This is the best kind of slickdeal, knowing it's a good deal, but better yet, knowing I will probably never need it since I don't deal with lawn maintenance and I'm not a vehicle gear guy.

Thank you! worship

I have this unit...

Blew a tire on my boat trailer, couldn't tell cuz I was pulling it behind the camper on my F350...A fellow driver signaled me I blew a tire on the boat. My wife and kids did a pit stop while I changed the tire and we were gone in less than 15 minutes.

Works great!

I bought this mainly for the battery and charger. I currently and heavily invested in the Kobalt 24v platform but I am needing of battery caulk gun and new battery grease gun. This Ryobi will fit the bill and I might get some use out of this small impact. This is non brushless and only rated for 300#. My Kobalt is rated at 700# and I use it all the time.
