I got this back late last year. I combined it with the Sam's offer at the time, which was get $45 off the first in store purchase. It took 90 days, but I also got $45 back from discover.

No luck. I had a chat with discover cs and they said its only selected card memebers. My account is not eligible for this offer.

fwiw, i did get my $45 coupon by going to customer service who asked me if I got a "code" beginning with "980". Apparently the $45 coupon code is sent in email after signup. I showed her the 2 emails I got when signing up and sure enough buried down in one of the emails was the code she needed so it was there all the time but didn't know it.

Thats not true. Try if you get free membership and visit club few times, that will change your mind! Lots of items are very good quality, including many vegies and fruits. Also, their online order and pick up in car is the best service amongst all other competitors. There is no minimum order requirement for that.
