I wouldn't pay $50 new for these. Acting noise canceling is almost undetectable, they are incredibly creaky and the build quality isn't that great. Just an overall poor set of headphones.
Noise cancellation is virtually non existent on them. compared to AT headphones. I use them during air travels and they suppress perhaps 20% of noise only. If you are looking for good NC headphones, these are not them.

That's exactly the same problem with the 700N's. At least those have have app support and they are more comfortable.
