This laptop has an extra slot for either M.2 or 2.5" Drive and upgradeable RAM. Display is the same one found in Legion7. Pretty good price for the laptop. It was $999 during Black Friday.

Thumbs up! Seems like a good deal for under a thousand.

I recently bought this one [newegg.com] for $900 plus a $100 rebate (deal is dead) but if I hadn't I'd be looking at getting this.

I have this laptop. The screen is amazing and the performance is great. At this price range if you're even remotely interested it's a good deal. Unless you fine a Ryzen 5000 and 3060 for under 1200 this is a solid deal.

I got the hp omen 3060 with 5600 for 1200$ after tax (1140 before taxes). I kind of wish I would have waited and gotten this instead for a 30% savings, but it sounds like it may be worth keeping the 3060? Thoughts?

The 5600 and 3060 would blow this away. However they are hard to find for that price. I think a lot of people here are waiting for more options to open up, or for these RTX 2060 based laptops to go on sale under $700.

Damn, just checked my order history and apparently my 3060 + 5600 was canceled by hp. Apparently they cancelled / tanked all the orders for that spec at that price... bummer. Wondering if I should get this then or wait for a other 3060 deal

949 is easily 1k after tax, meaning only 20% saved. For a product you will prob keep for 5 plus years the 3060 alone is worth the extra $200 easily. Ryzen 5000 is the cherry on top, unless 240hz screen is a must for you (but it shouldn't be since you are not going to be gaming at a stable 240 fps anyway in a 2060)
You are right but there won't be many options in Ryzen 5000 and RTX 3000 since supply is delayed short. I think there won't be too many options in next couple of months.

I got a similar 5i but with 256gb m2 and 1tb hdd 2.5 sata. Picked mine up in December as a present to myself for 999. Was well worth it. I highly suggest this as it's priced decently and is available. I'm sure prices will drop as they try to liquidate the 2020 stock.

Hi, I need a laptop that is capable of adding two additional monitors to it for business. Do you think this laptop has that ability?
