this is stupid, existing customers? if you have to add a line then its not for existing customers, its for new customers. Rebates are stupid, how long do you have to keep the line for? its as stupid as when the CS guy told me to do this to get a discount on opening a new line of $300, with a 2 year bill credit, in the end i save $50.

Do you mean the tmobile one 55+ plan? I have that plan, and was able to add a 3rd line for $20 bucks
I read online that t-mobile is coming out with a new plan called magenta unlimited 55 which can have a maximum of 4 lines

Just a FYI for those that want the bill credits over the rebates and want to use it dual sim with a different carrier and T-Mobile.

I have two SEs I got from the last promo in May for 24 month bill credits. I have a work phone on Verizon and wanted to use it with the SE since it supports dual sim (esim Tmobile and physical sim Verizon). T-Mobile rep I chatted with said if I wanted to use the Verizon sim then the phone needs to be unlocked, which I assumed no problem if I pay it off early. I asked if I would still be able to get my bill credits if I pay off the balance so I can get it unlocked and use it dual sim. He said I would lose my bill credits if I pay off early to get the device unlocked.

He did say if I were going overseas then they can request a temporary unlock for 30 days which can be renewed while overseas and still retain the bill credits.

If I had known this then I would have opted for the rebates through Costco instead bill credits since you paid off the device and just wait 40 days to request the unlock.

There is no temporary unlock for iPhones. If they unlock it should be permanent.

Also if you pay off no need to wait for 40 days. You can request for unlock after 14 days.

So you would recommend 11 series vs 12? Seems like the price difference is just too great to justify 12 in this promo. In byod thread I posted my costco had 11 pro max (64gb, $699), 12 (64gb, $746), and 12 pro (128, $899). Between 11 pro max and 12, 11 seems better but compared to 12 pro, size increase is preferred but not sure abt that price difference.

You will receive your bill credits, 9 years TM customer. You had a clueless rep. And iPhones don't have temporary unlock

Did one of these t-mobile bogo costco deals for the S20+. Ended up only paying $320 for both my S20 and galaxy buds, after selling my old phone, calling t-mobile to unlock the 2nd phone, selling the 2nd S20, calling to cancel the 2nd line. I suppose it was worth saving $700 but it was a lot of work and I probably won't do it again. There's also risk selling phones on swappa if the buyer claims they didn't receive the phone
