So when you did the BYOD they gave you the 2nd line free while also giving you the rebate form for $300? Were you an existing customer and did they have to do anything special for it?

No, both phones are locked and can be unlocked only after 40 days..

Yes, you can....atleast register on there network once and go and request to unlock after 40 days.

I am not a current tmobile customer, want to do 2 BYOD along with this offer (iphone12) he said i need to take Magenta MAX plan with 3 lines $140 per month. Is there cheaper plan that is available ? TIA.

i dont think that's a requirement to sign up for the expensive plan.
the cheapest essentials plan should work or atleast the magenta plan should work
