While the processor in this deal is better, the Walmart deal is much better overall. That has 500 nits 240hz display, bigger SSD and only $949.
What is better depends on what you're looking for. If you are mainly looking for pure gaming then may be the Walmart deal is more value for money. But if you are looking for a laptop for gaming as well as for running some demanding tasks then this is better due to having a far superior CPU. Also, having a Ryzen 7 4800H also has other advantages. It runs cooler, consumes less energy and with normal usage, it does provide nearly 1.5 hours higher battery life than the Intel model, with same 60 WHr Battery.
And you can reduce the price of this laptop by simply choosing Ryzen 5 4600H which is still better than i7-10750H and has it at slightly cheaper price than the Walmart deal.
That's huge. I ordered the Walmart deal yesterday and they managed to get it to me today. Five weeks from now we will all have buyers remorse anyway when 3060s are this price(granted without as much ram or Ssd space and base displays instead of these upgraded panels)

Would love your advice.
1. If you have a scale of 100, where would RTX 2060 lie compare to RTX 2070 and RTX 3060? What would be the incremental amount in $ you would pay for moving from one card to the other.
2. In your opinion, what's the bets deal going around for a 15.6" to 17."3 gaming laptop. (Looking for a price range up to $12,00)
3. Running a search on slickdeals, I found 5 laptops:
a) The one in this thread for $1,006
b) Walmart deal for $949
c) Asus TUF Dash for $1099 with RTX 3060
d) MSI GE Raider for $1199 with RTX 3060
e) HP Omen $1150 RTX 3060 Ryzen 5 5600H
f) Gigabyte 17.3" RTX 2060 $929 after rebate
4. What about the COSTCO gaming laptops?
MSI GE75 Raider Gaming Laptop - 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H - GeForce RTX 2060 - 1080p for $1099 https://www.costco.com/msi-ge75-r...68605.html
Ram situation copied and pasted from their spec in case anyone is wondering...
Memory
Memory Type
DDR4-3200
Memory Slots
Two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, dual-channel capable
Max Memory
Up to 16GB DDR4-3200 offering
Notes:
The max memory is based on the test results with current Lenovo® memory offerings. The system may support more
memory as the technology develops.
Interesting.. they have 2 specs. One for 1650/1650ti offering, and the other for the laptop in OP with 1660ti/2060 offering. Max ram for 1660ti/2060 here is 16gb on the spec, but the 1650/1650ti version can have ram upto 32gb.
The leak says new legion laptops are arriving this month and another in June. There's a possibility it could get lower some more.
I have the previous model of this with Intel and rtx 2060, it can play games pretty good(modern Warfare, warzone, genshin impact, witcher 3). I tried the 1660ti version of this some months ago and it's pretty quiet compared to what I have. I wish I waited six month and got this amd version, main reason is numlock/zero placement lol, it just ain't right.

First, isn't the HP Omen one 3060? Also, does when you get the laptop matter? Some of those you may not received until 4 to 6 weeks later (when include shipping). This deal said 5+ weeks so who knows, could be even longer. While some of those like the Walmart one you get it in couple days.

Yes, my mistake. The Omen is 3060. I certainly can't wait more than 2 - 3 weeks. Thanks.
Newegg still has their MSI alpha 15 on sale for 1199 and $100 rebate. That has 16 gigs of RAM, an RX 5600m, 1 TB SSD, and a Ryzen 4800h. Better deal in my opinion. I've seen this laptop go as low as 800 or 900 recently. Check this out on @Newegg: MSI Alpha 15 A4DEK-005 - 15.6" 144 Hz - AMD Ryzen 7 4800H - AMD Radeon RX 5600M - 16 GB DDR4 - 1 TB SSD - Windows 10 Home - Gaming Laptop https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E1683..._-03072021

How did Walmart ship it? UPS / FedEx?

I would suggest picking a ready to ship option or from another vendor. 8 months is a long time to wait (could be sooner but who knows?).
RAM wise should work with 2x 32gb for 64GB total just fine.
