Amazon (and others - see below) dropped their price on a Zumo XT to $399. Previous low (according to SD and camel^3) was $449. Seems this is a price drop from Garmin though so you *might* be able to save a few dollars off this price in the near future - whether from Amazon or another retailer. But I don't know if this is a short term sale or a permanent price drop. For example: Crutchfield, Touratech, The GPS Store and Garmin itself also have this for $399 right now.
Let's just get this out of the way: yes, $400 is expensive these days for a GPS. But if you're saying that, you probably don't know exactly what this is and most likely don't ride any sort of a touring motorcycle (and you're probably going to freak out to hear that some people pay an additional $175 for a locking mount for it for their bikes.) It is what it is. And there are reasons for this to be so expensive (build quality/vibration resistance, large purpose-built screen/interface, etc)
Or, it's also possible if you're saying that's expensive because you're like me and you DO ride but you're also a cheapskate. (I'm still using my Garmin 2610 so...) Either way, it's $50 cheaper than it's ever been.

I prefer Zumo on my sport-tours and have been using them for years with zero issues

I had to buy longer bolts than provided in order to work with my 40mm risers. I believe they were 80mm or 85mm.
You can see an example of how it would work here https://advrider.com/f/attachment...g.
