Man I need one for the 5 year old iphone SE 2016. Battery is dropping FAST even at 90% capacity thanks to iOS 14 update. Gotta stay strong. The odd of getting supported for iOS 15 is extremely low but ANYTHING is possible.

Yeah, it's probably unfortunately hard to find one that isn't a fake and still has a good battery. You're probably best off getting some portable power banks. Maybe a bigger one to leave in your car or at work, and a smaller one to carry on you. There's some pretty thin ones that might have 5000-10000 mAh

Does it seem like we are able to take the charger off the back of the case?

What about a used working mophie juice pack? Would 1500 mah make a difference? What do you think? 🤔

Although I've ordered various kinds of charge packs over the years, I'm not completely sure. Personally though, I'd rather get 10,000mAh minimum. I'd like to get a few charges or more out of it before having to charge the pack again. You can make do with less definitely though.

Also consider that some of the cheap charge packs may only offer 1Amp charging, which is a very slow charge. It might be enough to slow down the battery usage, but I'm not if it can actually charge the phone very much if you're using it at the same time.

I suggest that you set up deal alerts for this type of thing. Maybe search aukey or anker, and see what the common keywords are for these things, then set according deal alerts for the charge packs. You might also get lucky if you just look on Amazon right now... maybe some not very known seller has a coupon and other discounts for such a thing

So it looks like you lose the ability to set phone on a wireless charger as the battery pack looks like it only charges through plug.

So close to what I was looking for.

I was in the same boat as you. If you have an XS Max, I recommend the Alpatronix BXX Max. It had the three qualities I was looking for: A huge battery capacity, wireless charging, and CarPlay compatibility. From all of my research, it was the only quality case with those three features that I could find.

As an added bonus, I recently found out that Popsockets makes a wireless charging pad that is compatible with popsockets. I've been using that, so there's not a single downside for me in picking up the BXX Max in my case. I love it.

Curious. Have you ever changed the battery? My iPhone SE 2020 bought in August is already at 98% on battery capacity and I hardly use it. It is constantly hooked to the official Apple battery case and I've suspected keeping it at 100% is not good. I wish Apple allowed it to only charge the phone to 80% like the Moto Mod battery cases would let you do.

Moto Mod battery packs would let you charge your phone to 80% and then stop charging or you could charge it to 100% and keep it at 100% which is the default setting. Doing that prevents any trigger happy people from filing a lawsuit. Apple is lazy would be my guess why it's not happened.

Apple does this for me on my IPhone XR all the time. If I look at it in the middle of the night, it'll say something about it won't charge it fully until 8AM or whatever time I have been waking up that week, or I can press the button saying something like fully charge now. There's gotta be something in the settings about this.

It says that with the official battery case by Apple on it or with no case? The phone itself will do that if no case but my case keeps the phone constantly at 100% until the case dies. It's an iPhone 7 battery case on the 2020 iPhone SE so the newer cases may be different, I'm not sure.

Just looked and nothing I can see in the settings.
