Good wrist presence, I actually love how thick these auto chronos are.

Always wanted to try the maroon one but it's normal price now unless there's a code I'm missing?

edit
I guess there was a code I was missing. I swear it wasn't there before! it's been a long day
I'm for one

This watch is powered by the H-21 movement which is based on the Valjoux 7750. The subdials at the 12, 6, and 9 are a dead-giveaway. The good news is that the 7750 is used in many chronograph watches, so any watchmaker worth their salt should be able to service/repair it when the time comes.

The 7750 is not a svelte movement, so it will make for a taller overall watch. Some watches are more clever than others in incorporating its height in its case/lug/crystal design. I have a Sinn 356 that uses this movement, which I think does a great job of disguising its height.

The other consideration is that the 7750 only winds in one direction, meaning the rotor only moves in one direction. This results in the infamous 7750 "wobble" which, at its most extreme, can feel like a small fidget spinner inside your watch. Some people can't get over this sensation, while I find it unique and a neat reminder of the mechanical wonder strapped to my wrist.

Yes, it's the same watch.

But the Amazon link you provided is not a Prime deal, so a little extra caution there please.

Otherwise a beautiful watch... I'd be all over it if the timing was right (no pun intended!)

I completely agree with you that any watch maker should be able to service this watch... However, Swatch does an amazing job at gating off their parts as to make it uneconomical for any watch maker outside their "network" to service their watches. Ive got an x-wind that I wanted serviced. Took it to a watch maker that's had amazing reviews. He looked it over and after 10 minutes said "send it in, parts will cost more than double for me to buy it than for you to mail it out". So I sent it off to New Jersey to one of their official repair centers. He was right on the money. Half price on all replacement parts vs what he would have been charged. It's ridiculous but that seems to be how it is these days

Thanks for sharing your experience, that's disappointing to hear. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Swatch group can throw their proverbial weight around to effectively require repairs in their network. Were the repair costs from Swatch reasonable -- comparable to bringing a different watch to an independent watchmaker?

I bought this watch last year and I love it. If you are considering buying it go for it. It's little large for my smaller wrist but I love it. The detail of dial is simply beautiful.
