pro trip: buy gas gift card at lowes and get 5% and then use gas card at pump to get cash price (winch is generally 10 c cheaper then credit card price).

yup, that is always the fall back, but with this process, I get Costco like prices at a gas station close to my house and not wait in the insanely long Costco gas lines...

I wish i never upgraded my old Freedom card to Freedom Flex which is mastercard. Hence i cant use the FF at costco or costco gas stations...now for the 5% back. Is there any way to go back to Freedom Visa card?

Nope. You and I are going to have to get gas at Racetrac now. There is a Murphy gas at my local Walmart which has cheap gas. I'll go there for the next couple of months to get my 5% and just only Costco for groceries.

Nope. But you can use the CFF to buy Costco Cash Cards online for in-warehouse use and for online purchases in general.

Also don't think Costco gas purchases would qualify for 5% back. Not coded for it.
