I'm not even sure I'm under 5/24.... any exceptions to that rule these days? Even so, I know the second I apply for this the CSR will go back to 100k offer lol

Only exception to 5/24 is typically targeted offers (some of the selected for yous online, or in-person pre-approvals at branch).

I think there's about a 0% chance of 100k coming back on CSR- it's an objectively better card if you double dip the credits-- slapping a better signup on top nobody'd ever get a CSP.

(one could argue the fact that's been happening is why they finally gave the CSP a better signup than it has had in a long time)

Dang, we just finished spend on 60k offer. I'm thinking of canceling the card within the 30 day mark for AF refund but don't wanna get on Chases bad side.

You could try and get them to match the current offer. They've been known to do that in the past

Yes, 80k is definitely worth getting. You can always bank your points for travel redemptions.

Do the points continue after closing the credit card or will they be gone?

You'll need a UR-earning card to keep them alive. Any of the freedom cards would work. Just need to transfer the points to that card.

You can, or you can downgrade to a Freedom. Just wait a week in between closing and applying.
whats the DP on waiting a week? can it be shorter than a week? just curious why ppl are saying a week vs month/3 days etcetc

Thanks. But then I will lose the 25% off for travel booking by transferring to "lesser" cards, I assume.

No, officially it's 90 days, and that's reflected in the bonus tracker. 115 has always been an unofficial answer. People have been getting their bonuses even after 90 days but before 115. You can't really complain if you fail to meet the 90 day threshold though. In the case of getting a refund, just re-spend the amount and you shouldn't have any issues.
Thank you, sorry one last question..

so i meant my spending within 90 days, and after got a partial refund also within 90 days,

u think there's a cahnce that i can make up the amount after 90 days but within 115 days and the bonus point will not be clawed back?

i have only until tomorrow my 90th days. but if 115 days woudl give me so so muc hmore flexibility, i can pay fo rmy care insurance!

Thank you!! =)

Applied and received our Chase Sapphire card a few months. Have now acquired 85,000 points. My biggest surprise was that my points are worth over $700 and readily redeemable as cash on Amazon purchases.

One of the worst ways to use those points

It has a 48 months churning time. Has it been that long since you received the bonus points?

Yes. You'd need the CSP to retrain 1.25x

Re-spend the missing amount within 115 days. You'll be fine. No worries about the clawback.

A month is excessive. A week is a safe answer. Could probably get away with a few days, but the deal will be around for longer than a week, so there's really no rush.
