Yeah, I'm not taking a printout of an internet blog as proof unless I feel like looking like an idiot. I don't see anything in the actual Chase ad where it says the fee is waived on the 80k bonus. I could be missing it though, so I'd be happy to say I'm wrong if I am. Most (if not all) people are saying it's on the bankers' screens, and not visible in their own accounts, online, etc. I think people are having different experiences, and it's just really interesting how invested people are in a stranger's $95 fee. For me, I wanted to get some heavy hitter purchases on the card this week. The $95 fee was less of an issue than if I had to find other things to charge to the card that might take away from bonus categories on other cards over the next few months. But hey, I live within my means. Maybe for others it's not a big deal.
Update 3/22/21:
Here's the public link for the 80,000 + $50 offer.
Increased Sapphire Preferred/Reserve offers are live in-branch as well. The Sapphire Preferred comes with the $95 annual fee waived for in-branch applications.

Chase will only allow you to get the tracking number on the day the card will be delivered.
Remember the 90 days to spend the $4,000 starts the day the card is made / shipped.
Regular snail mail will take 7 to 10 days
I confirmed that the $95 AF is waived the first year (it says so right on the screen of the application)
I did not see/notice the $50 grocery credit, but hopefully its there.
I asked the Chase rep if they could expedite the card. They were happy to do so. 1-2 business day delivery.

The rep said it was not available to me because I had a Reserve card within 48 months. I told him that wasn't my understanding of the terms but I couldn't really argue with him. Any ideas why the Sapphire Preferred didn't come up on his screen as an option to apply for it?
