So basically what you are saying is that you lowered your credit limit on your card then they approved you for the sapphire and moved some of the limit to that card? I'd be fine with that.

Has Sapphire 5 years ago. No instant approval for me, strange.

The rep said it was not available to me because I had a Reserve card within 48 months. I told him that wasn't my understanding of the terms but I couldn't really argue with him. Any ideas why the Sapphire Preferred didn't come up on his screen as an option to apply for it?
