Correct. Just ask for the gift cards, my mall makes me fill out paperwork when buying the large balance gift cards. Never had an issue though. I would make sure the credit card has some other purchases on it before you go an ring it up for $4000....
Did you need to provide them your SSN?

This is my first sapphire card. Question for travel card Gurus: using the back-to-you promotion, is cashing out @1.25c a good use of the points? Thanks in advance!

Did you get the $95 fee waived and also the $50 grocery credit?

Inside the Chase branch Apply is my strong suggestion - In branch $95 annual fee gets waived , also the rep will call in right away to get approval - i have 800+ score but Chase asked me to move $5 k from Amazon chase and another $5 k from freedom (as i have way too much credit available) for the Sapphire $10k limit. So applied 3\30 asked for expedited but CC arrived via USPS on 4/05 , and buying RX imside walmart triggered $50 grocery credit although i did not buy groceries .

I have not. They check your name on the form to your ID. You could fake your phone and email address. You aren't doing anything wrong, maybe you are just wealthy and buying people gifts or bonus gift cards for employees.

I don't see anything about the $50 grocery credit when I log into my account online. Received the card today. How do we get the $50 grocery credit?

It's in the terms of the offer. The credit should appear on your statement when the requirements are met.

Okay, so just spend $50 in a grocery and it'll be a statement credit on the statement date?

The guy couldn't apply for it in the branch, card didn't show up. Probably because I had sapphire before.

Based on how Chase has applied other credits, that should be how it works, so long as the purchase codes as "grocery."

Someone had posted a few threads back but I can't find it. But what is the best way to transfer our 80,000 points to Hyatt hotel stays? Is there a link where it shows how many points needed for each Hyatt Category hotels per night?

Is it a bad idea to sign up for this AND Savor, so I can get both bonuses?
As of right now, i have one credit card, which is Chase Freedom. I don't want to get shut down or have any adverse actions on credit score.

Not really a bad idea but you may get denied because they may see it as you wanting to 'spend' more which makes you more of a credit liability. Personally, it would depend on if you can hit the $4k spending limit within three months. If you can, I'd go with the Sapphire and just wait for the Savor. The $200 for spending $500 is a common deal. 80k points is way too good of an offer to pass up. You can always sign up for the Savor after you receive the Sapphire bonus.

Thanks. This is the kind of great info I love here.

How long do most offers last?

I will have to pay 95 to start, because of annual fee, though, right, or is that if I have it a year or more?

Sort of.

The grocery credit is applied immediately against your purchase. So, if you're keeping track of your credit card expenditures, the adjustment will show up immediately. (You don't have to wait until the statement is generated.)

Log into chase, go to UR portal, and link your Hyatt account, then transfer the UR points to Hyatt. The ratio is 1:1.

Here is the link to hotel category and point costs:
