I've had the card for about 2 weeks now and no fee yet.
I can attest to that. My annual fee was charged on the 1st of the month following card approval.
In your case, you'd see the annual fee charged today.
Just go back to old statements and see which one has the sign up bonus.
So it's 48 months from the statement date we received the bonus?
You don't rack up $1300 monthly? You've got 3 months foe the 4k.
Cancel card (worst option in most cases)
Downgrade card to a $0 AF chase card (if you don't plan to travel and don't mind losing sapphire benefits)
In both of those cases you'll get the AF refunded so no cost to you.
or
Upgrade to CSR- which if you do travel significantly is a much better card and easy enough to get enough value out of to cover the AF (but has a lower signup bonus so isn't as worthwhile to start with if you pick between it and CSP, which you do).
In that case you'd be charged an additional AF above the $95 CSP one (though you get the $300 travel credit, the $100 GE credit, higher point value in the portal or via PYB, free roadside assistance, free priority pass membership including guests, and various other perks)
Downgrade to 0.
Upgrade to CSR.
I would be coming up on 5 years with CSR so would get the GE credit again.
Groceries and stuff yes. But my problem is I tend to forget sometimes to spend other cards. I lost my Amex signon bonus that way 2 years ago.
Well with chase they don't care if you never use the card. So try and hit that 4k asap.

I've got Chase Freedom plus, Bofa mastercard, Discover & Costco citibank. Dont know if I shall get CSP? Do you recommend CSP over Costco citibank?
Depends, where can you redeem the points? Chase let's you transfer to other programs at 1:1
I got CSR in late 2016 and bonus points were posted in March 2017 statement. I canceled the card in January 2021.
I had this offer on my online account a few weeks back, but it's no longer there. Someone posted here saying that a banker thinks this is a glitch (for in-store only?) and it'll be fixed late April. I went to a branch today and the banker said I cannot apply for this offer but cannot offer a firm explanation. She mentioned that I had to wait 48 months after any Sapphire products are closed - and I know she just makes things up.
Anyone else is having a similar issue? I suppose I can try apply this online instead. What a waste of time driving to a branch 25 miles away. The closest one to my place is temporarily closed without warning due to COVID cases (inside the store?), but no one bothered to call me to reschedule my appointment. This is frustrating.
"Chase has a 48-month rule on receiving new cardmember bonuses within the Chase Sapphire card family.
This means, if you've earned a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve welcome bonus in the past four years, you're out of luck to earn this bonus until you've passed the 48-month mark on the last bonus" - https://www.google.com/amp/s/thep...ility/amp/

Exactly.
I'm well aware of this rule and I should be eligible since I got my welcome bonus points about 50 months ago.

I got my bonus about 52 months ago and had no issues. Applied at a branch.
