Warning for anyone doing this - I clicked through as directed. I saw the save 15% button. I never got an option to enter a promo code and was immediately billed $100. It could be because I was already on a free month, but be VERY careful to go through with this because you may end up charged $100 immediately.
Calm down and help the person instead of jumping down their throat
I highly recommend people DON'T get this service. Don't support this kind of splitting of resources. If you want every TV station to have their own paid for subscription, that's what you are supporting when you pay for this. If you want a more centralized system (Netflix, Hulu, etc) then let these experiments fail.

My platinum Amex had a $5 offer for Paramount Plus that can be combined with this to bring it down to $45.

To avoid customer service. Upgrade to one year for $99. You will get charge immediately. Put in code YEAR after upgrade. Next year will be at 50% off. That is what customer service told me and it worked.
That's what happened to me but I don't get it. So does this mean, you/I paid one year, upfront, and then March 2022 will be 50% off? Or should they refund 50% now since we were charged before the code? How did you contact customer service? I only get the automatic chat thing

That's what they told me. Paid $99.74 for this year (had 1 day credit for $4.99 a month left on expiring 2 month deal) and will pay $49.99 for next year. I called the 800 number on their website.

I did a one-time use credit card with a $35 limit, went to the website and logged in (had done a 30 free trial but it had expired) put in the code and placed my order. Just got a email that it had authorized $30.89 for my purchase. Seemed pretty painless the way I did it but wanted to make sure I didn't get hit with full price.

Did you used an existing account? I'm unable to get this working on an account that is currently in the middle of a 1 month free trail Frown

On the Limited Commercials plan - are there commercials in the "movies" or just the TV shows?

I got the same contradicted emails. How much did they finally charge you after the trial expired?

Quote from xlnlif :
So am I going to be charged $99.99 even though I see 50% off 12 months?

Paramount+ Plan
Commercial Free (Annual) Trial

Price
$99.99/year

Discount
50% off 12 Months

Next Billing Date

Lol, that's a classic bait & switch, and if they told me that BS, I would tell them to refund me for 50% off this year, or cancel and refund me completely, or else I'm disputing the transaction with my bank. Nobody is signing up for this 50% off promotion so they can pay full price for a year...

Normally I wouldn't but if price goes up in a year and there is no promo I will be happy about it. They said it is locked in at the $49.99. Also I missed a bunch of seasons of The Real World and The Challenge. They are guilty pleasures of mine. I could just download off torrent sites but it is easier to stream.

You do what you want, of course, but there is objectively no advantage to you if you pay $100 this year and $50 next year rather than $50 this year and maybe $100 next year IF there's no promotion. Mind you, people are saying that existing customers can add this 50% off annual sub to their next billing cycle, so you could probably just lock in a 2nd year at $50 now (assuming the promotion is still available to you) if you really like the service and want to future proof yourself from price increases.

So I just signed up on my phone.

IMPORTANT: The default Promo Code on the very bottom of the Payment page is PARAMOUNT, but you have to change it to YEAR, then hit "Apply." You can do all of this *before* entering an payment information toward the top of that same page. It will clearly say "Discount: 50% off 12 months"

That is, no issues. Everything makes clear that 50% off the $99 annual plan will be applied.

Email confirmation:
"Plan: Commercial Free (Annual)
Your payment method will be billed $99.99 on a recurring basis when your trial expires on Mar 23, 2021.*
Coupon: 50% off for 12 months has been applied. For your updated billing amount and trial ending date, please visit your account page."

P+ Account page:
"Subscription & Billing
Paramount+ Plan
Commercial Free (Annual) Trial
Price
$99.99/year
Discount
50% off 12 Months
Next Billing Date
March 22nd, 2021"

Payment method is PayPal, and $1 pending charge on that credit card used.

Hope that helps!

Hey I just wanted to check with you if they ended up charging you the correct amount. I did not get the commercial free option like you but I did sign up for the limited commercial (annual) option of pramamount+. I got a introductory first email that says...

"Your payment method will be billed $59.99 on a recurring basis when your trial expires on Apr 8, 2021.*

Coupon: 50% off for 12 months has been applied. For your updated billing amount and trial ending date, please visit your account page."

and a second one that says...
"Your Paramount+ trial or introductory offer is ending in 7 days, and your credit card will be charged $59.99 on Apr 8, 2021. Moving forward, your subscription will automatically renew at the aforementioned rate per year."

My paramount account also says in subscription & billing that price is $59.99 and discount says 50% of 12months and payment will be with paypal.

So I just wanted to check to see they should charge me the correct amount of (59.99-50%) =30$. Thanks

Yes, I confirm that I was only billed $49.99 on 03/24 (i.e., 50% of $99.99).
