If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

My wife currently has the iPhone 11 that we brought to TMO from visible. If we were to use that phone for the trade in on a iPhone 12 would that cause an issue as the imei is registered on TMO? In general, is this a good idea or should I continue looking for a hard to find S9?

Confirmation from Reddit: **ALL** phone promos are stackable with the free line. Including a new iPhone SE "On Us" with new line and eligible port in, which started today. Also includes the array of free phones like the revvl 4, and the $99 Samsung A71 5G, and the $175 Pixel 4a 5G, and the iPhone 12 trade in promo. Go nuts!

Had anyone successfully done this entirely, including porting in for free iphone se, without any customer care involvement?
Yes. I did it this morning. They added the free line, and iPhone SE free with port in. Just call them after you get the phone and sim to port in the line.

Any suggestions on which provider to use to qualify for T-mobile port in? Google voice does not qualify.

That's what an agent said a week or so ago that I had a 12 line limit. Would be good to confirm though I guess.

Is there a way for us to see the line limit in the account?
It depends on credit when primary person signed up. We are 10 lines. Each person is different

Does anyone know the difference between USCFM4 vs USCFM4L? I'm on the FM4 and not eligible for a new line... Did they just add an "L" to exclude grandfathered plan?

I'd have to switch plans to get this offer. Not giving up 2 lines for $80 taxes included.

Thank you for reaching back out through T-Force. My name is Jordan and I will be assisting you today! SO much excitement around our new free line offer and we appreciate you checking on this to ensure you are setup for success. Upon review, it does not seem like this plan qualifies for this promotion. If I am being totally transparent, the reason being is you are on a promotional rate plan and not a standard T-Mobile ONE plan. Promotional pricing plans don't typically receive the option for add on promotions such as free lines. This is due to the pricing you are getting as well as the promotional benefits you get with your plan. I have the exact plan you do so I know it's frustrating but if changing to a qualifying plan is something you'd like to look into, we absolutely can. Whatever works best for you! Smilie

We also wanted to thank you in advance for your patience as this offer is bringing in a ton of traffic so our responses may be delayed but no worries as we are still here for you.
