If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Hello all - Just FYI. I strongly probed the T-Force Agent for the complete list of the SOC Codes for the "2021 Line on Us" Promo. There are a lot of SOC Codes that are not on this compared to the one posted here and on Reddit. Here is the chat transcript:
—————————————————
Absolutely, I see no reason why we cannot have full transparency here.
Little "Disclaimer" that these SOC codes are subject to change at any time, however as of writing this, here's the full list of eligible codes:

"Reminder: If a plan's SOC isn't listed in the table below, it is not eligible for the offer.

Boost is Sprint (which is TMobile now) MVNO, so will not work.
Dish now is buying boost from tmobile last year so is not T-Mobile and the rep from t-force said is eligible but I haven't port in yet. Anyone good through?

I am in bit of an impasse and wanted to see what you guys think should be done. The T-Force and T-Mobile chat is telling me a big mumbo-jumbo that my SOC Code TIUNL2 is not eligible for the "2021 Line on Us P6" Promo. At least 6 different Agents said so on different platforms. The SOC Code list here and on Reddit clearly has the TIUNL2 on there as an eligible SOC Code for the "2021 Line on Us P6" Promo. What should I do? Is there a new eligible SOC Code list that is, by any chance, not posted here or on Reddit?
I was in touch with TForce this morning. I confirmed multiple times that my plan is eligible for the 2021 Line on Us promo that is currently being offered.

The SE really really sucks, even free. I opted for the 12pro 128gb, with the $150 costco GC it's basically free. Traded in an old X that I needed an excuse to get rid of.

You can do port-in once you see the phone number in your account. I did that for a friend of mine and the free Iphone SE promo kicked in after successful port-in. His phone has just shipped, but he is all set with the promos.
Sweet. Thanks for the heads up.

could someone tell me if all your discounted from 8 lines showed up in your account after migrating to 9-12 lines? I just did the change to 9-12 lines and none of my free lines discount showed up in my account. I chat with T-force and they said it won't show up until the billing, is this true. Just want to make sure the migration was done correctly and I do not looses any of my free lines.

I now have 8 lines after adding this one at Costco today. Now I need to go this route also to prepare for the next free lines.

Please read the parent Reddit Post. A bunch of codes got taken off the list at 9P EST - it was just updated after my post. The TIUNL2 and bunch of Amplified plans are part of it. Not sure what happens if you added a line before the SOC Codes got taken off the list.

Ah not what I meant. Meaning sign up for the line today. Then buy iphone 12 + trade in/port promo on Monday
I am told as long as you are porting in during the promo period, you can buy and trade in. So, a few days should work but see if you can add a note to your account that you would be doing so.

You'll probably receive text regarding promotion un-enrolled and congrats for receiving promo discount. That's what happened to mine after going to 9 lines. Probably takes a few hours for the system to do its thing.

I called Costco rep and they said there is $150 Costco card for BYOD.
I have total 9 lines (8 paid, 1 free from Christmas)
Wanted to check if anyone has done it?
