If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

I'm on a One Plus Promo plan. 4 paid and 4 free. I just chatted with tforce asking if my plan qualifies for the free line promo, or if I'm maxed out with my 8 line total...he came back and said I can add up to 15 lines, and I'm eligible for the free line promo, but said you get a free line when you add a line ... Which is a BOGO line deal.. not a free line like in the past...Am I missing something? Or was the rep just confused...or drunk?
Your plan maxes out at 8, there is an equivalent plan that goes to 12. It seems to be getting increasingly difficult to get them to move you to a grandfathered plan of late. The reps try really hard to get you to move to a current plan. Up to 15 lines is most certainly not One Plus.

Hey all,

Called yesterday lady on was nice said was familiar with plan.

Offered me the plan. I paid for sim.

1) I did not get to pick a phone number. I was just assigned one the next day. When my sim arrives will I be given a chance to pick a number?
2) On my overall bill the price went up $20. So, it looks as though adding new line is not free. How will this work? They'll credit my account each month?
3) Should I call back tmobile at the risk that the new rep might mess something up or just wait and see what happens ?

As a caution. If I get charged at the end of the bill cycle can I cancel this line?
1) you will have to pay to get number of your choice, unless a rep is ready to do it for free.
2) if the promo is applied correctly, you will have a bill credit for $20 every month to make line free. Shows under your account section in app.
3)If you don't see "2021 Line On Us 6" promo under your account call and get it fixed.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I think I'll just leave well enough alone..I don't want to risk something going haywire with my plan.

Added a line this evening at local store, now checked my account ,didn't see any EIP info on this newly added line, does this take some time to be reflected on my account?
Also I traded in a S9 for the Iphone 12, the rep checked the phone and accepted and gave me $80 credit, so am I good now with the trade in? is there any possibility that they decline the trade in later on? I paid assistant fee, just to avoid mailing in the tradein to save hassles. Anyone done this, please chime in. Thanks.

Again the link just takes me to my google voice number and nothing about how to unlock an . What is unlock and how?
That's unfortunate; I can't help with whatever is the issue with your account. For everyone else, it should bring you to the Google Voice number porting page with a big "Unlock my number" button.

I ordered my line about 3 pm yesterday, code showed up around 9 pm today for me.

Sometimes takes a few days. You should get a text message confirmation (usually) when the actual discount is applied. Then the $20 will drop off again.

I was just back from Costco store. Yes, it's $150 BYOD. I added a line there and also ported in a FreedomPop number. Got paper for $150 reward and submitted it online. But I have to call T-Mobile to get the number transferred successfully. The phone rep just asked phone number and account PIN, and then she activated my line. After line is activated, the 2021 LOU6 showed up in my account details.
Also confirmed with T-Mobile rep that my port-in number is qualified for T439 and placed an order on trademore for iPhone 8. When it's here, will order a iPhone 12 to get $830 credit.
Same dance I did except I went for the free SE

So once the store rep accepted my trade in, it's done deal for the trade in? Can they still come back later saying something wrong with the phone?

Just saw that the line on US 6 shown, guess the promo free line was added correctly, now look at if the device eip will be calculated right.
Congrats! It may take some time for some cases. But mine shows up immediately after the line got activated. Device promo should also show up today or tomorrow. If not, I recommend to talk with T-Force.

Don't call, use a DM or chat that leaves a documented trail that you sought to obtain the Line on Us promo during its active timeframe. If you call or just wait it's gonna be hard to get a promo afterward. If you have it documented you can just escalate until it's resolved.
