I did port-in from freedompop for both my account and my friend's account just last week. Both of them went through in 3-4 hours. I didn't have to call or do anything. T-mobile did everything on their end.
Maybe it was my luck. I do have all my info for porting at that time. (Account#, PIN, even my billing address)

Now I know how crappy and bad the plan is of many that brag about endless free lines added but your plan ain't good! Here is my plan and I can't add free line . 4 lines for $100 including tax and fees and 100gb high speed monthly data on each line . Many of you pay $120 for 2 lines with only 50gb high speed monthly data. I guess I don't have to worry about not getting more free line cos my plan actually rocks ! I have unlimited texts and global roaming etc!

Do you chat with freedompop with their "Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram" to get the account # and pin?
I chatted with the rep on freedompop's website. The rep asked for phone number, name etc and then got the info for me. The 1st two times he gave me the info via chat. More recently, the rep said the info would be messaged to my number. Like he said, I received the info on my number via text.

Thanks for the response. So this means I only need one paid line to have kickback and when the SOC is converted to 9-12 lines, the kickback will go to account level and lines 1-9 will receive kickbacks. Is this correct? Thanks again.
in my case i had the kb added to all my lines and after porting to 9 lines it is getting applied. if you have it on only 1 line the reach out to some helpful rep to see if they will add it to the other lines.

I was able to have the rep add kickback to all 12 lines and I have been taking advantage of all the free lines for the past couple of months. Based on your information, I should receive kickback for up to 9 lines if I keep them under 2gb. Thanks for your clarification.

Thanks. Has anyone here bought their phone off Swappa and then used those phone details for the trade-in (before actually receiving the phone in person)?

I would normally check Craigslist... but iPhone 8's are listed for $300+ right now.

If your SOC qualifies, you can add a free line to your account. This free line deal can be stacked with phone promotions. There are various phone promotions on T-mobile's website that can be availed. Some of the phone promotions involves add a line + trade-in a qualifying phone + port-in.

For eg. Get a new Iphone 12 (up to $830 off) with add a line + trade-in a qualifying phone + port-in from a qualified carrier.

I wouldn't go there. Not many people use all of their alloted data. If they have a family member that needs a line with even 1GB data that's fine with them, it's free. A lot have unlimited high speed (up to 50GB) which is more than most people will ever need. FYI, I'm not qualified for free lines but I can see how they can save money for people

For how long you had that number on freedompop? Their legacy lines are voip and considered landline, that's why porting takes long time. New freedompop lines are real cell numbers, those port out quickly.

True. New freedompop GSM works on AT&T network. Port-in takes a few hours. The only painful thing (from what the rep told me) is that T-mobile has to call freedompop with account info and pin for port-in. On our end, we provide T-mobile with all the info and we are done.
