checked the specs & reviews, looks like an excellent phone, especially considering the price! But found it won't work on the Visible network (story of my life).
How's TCL with updates? Is this upgradeable to Android 11? What about future versions? Also, is there a lot of bloatware or is it closer to pure Android?

I got the 10L It will get Android 11. Not sure beyond that. As for bloatware, the one indication I have is amount of avg. Ram used and my TCL uses less Ram during normal use than my Samsung before it, plus I have 2 extra gigs than before. If I knew this (Pro) was going on sale I would have gotten it instead but I am happy with my 10L for what I paid for it.

Per a review it will only receive one update. Was momentarily interested.
This doesn't have an IP rating meaning it isn't rated for Ingress protection against dust or water. Anecdotal reports indicate it has minimal water resistance... not even splash proof.

The TCL 10 Pro is certified for use on Verizon's LTE network.

iFixit's editor posted an article on his website titled "There's no such thing as waterproof smartphone". Look it up. Those certifications are a total crock. TCL, being a budget brand probably just didn't want to pay for the certification just like Walmart and Amazon don't pay the USP organization for their supplement safety certification. It doesn't mean anything.

Huh? I've definitely dipped my last 3 phones in water for a bit on purpose and by accident and nothing happened so it definitely means something. I just wipe phones down with water now and would never do that in the past...

And I have used my S7 and S9+ in a variety of waterparks in water. Yea the charger won't work for a while, but the phones are fine.
