This might be it but seems like it was less than 20 in club.

It works perfectly fine. Makes a great cup of coffee. The technology of coffee makers is so basic that you don't need to pay $100 unless you really want to. A coffee maker is just a heating element, some tubes to transport that hot water to the top where there is a shower head to make drip coffee, and there's a hot pan to keep the coffee hot. Period end.
So why then is this $13?
1) the whole unit is 100% cheap lightweight plastic. This was actually a benefit for me. It made transporting it in luggage very amenable since it weighed nothing. The only weight came from the glass jug. Gotta be careful with the unit since stuff will break easy.
2) no special features or fancy buttons or backlight led. There's a clock, an "on" button, and some auto programming buttons to setup a coffee run at a certain time.
3) The markings for the water level of the tub are inside the tub and are part of the plastic mold. They are near impossible to see (i'd recommend painting them with some white paint to see them). All the fancy products have a see through window which makes it easy to see. Yes, you can use the coffee jug as a measuring cup. So why do you need to see where 8 cups is when you put 8 cups of water in the jug to fill? Absolutely true. Just sometimes some people won't use the jug to fill the tub. You are kind of forced into using the jug.
4) No water filter. Some units provide a means for inserting a water filter. Of course if your house water is super clean, who cares, but it's a premium feature that is not on this unit.
5) No soft close lid. Another premium feature that doesn't exist here.
My only complaint with the unit is that the resultant coffee grind cleanup is a bit more than my premium style unit in my own house. No, there's never been a spillage of coffee grinds (without operator error, see below) just every time my mother in law needs to empty the spent grinds she takes out the whole caddy to clean. With my own premium unit, I don't need to take out the conical caddy, just the spent filter.
Three other notes.
1) A coffee grind caddy is included which is very nice. Has some mesh grating on it. Little fold up handle.
2) The caddy is cylindrical shaped. You need to use basic coffee filters that are circular like you have for those Bunn coffee makers at work.
3) You have to set the caddy in the proper position or else you'll have a fun time cleaning a whole coffee maker of spilled grinds.... everywhere and in the tubes. Made this mistake once. The coffee maker was running but the jug wasn't filling. I open it up and there was a huge soup of coffee in the caddy spilling into the tub. The unit was just running the brewed coffee water. Excel circular reference...lol. What a fun day of cleaning that was
