The newest post on your link is a 1.5 years ago. Are these the same cables by the same manufacturer? They have different upc's ? Might look the same but in 1-2 years the product could be different. Manufacturers are constantly finding ways to make more money by reducing cost. Its what's on the inside of a cable and the connectors that matter the most IMO.

you obviously make good points. i was simply stating that this is same company who posted these. to me, many of them look same. but, are they different? who knows... but i imagine that it costs too much $ to change tooling to produce same looking cables by different company, so i have no reason to believe they are different..

They might or might not be different. Fortunately they don't cost much and shielding is not as important with this low level technology. I work in IT and find some cables are better than others but the difference in specs usually doesn't have an effect on performance. I use the best I can find with mission critical environments though.
I could not find anything about this company; apparently their website is no longer functional.

These and most 3.5mm cables are not shielded especially at 8 for $5.00. There's a lot more bad quality products out there these days. Using throw-away materials not only guarantees a repurchase of the same item but the cost savings also end up being a pure profit for the manufacturer. Believe it or not cables were actually made by hand and repaired years ago when they cost more (considering the value of a dollar). I still occasionally make special application/length cables today.

I'd say the biggest factor on whether a cable will work or last awhile is how the user handles and cares for the product. Do you pull the cable by the plug or by the cable itself when removing? Do you store and coil it up properly when not using or throw it on the floor or a seat? I could list many more reasons why they would prematurely fail or not last as long as we would like. A lot of people don't know how or don't care until it doesn't work and blame it on a poor product.

OK, I guess I've beat this horse enough. I think we both agree; we just don't know for sure!

Peace

I'll take a chance on $5, I go through cables fast. For those of you wondering who still uses these, not all of us have a fancy new car with Bluetooth, and I'm sure you think of other uses.

(If your comment is not sarcastic you should probably buy a cassette adapter with this)
