Ha! No, no COVID. Unless it is a new strain that only affects your ability to taste Combos. They are just terrible. Or if not terrible just not what they used to be, especially the filling. It used to have a creamier texture with more flavor.

This has happened with so many things over the years. They tweak the formula to save a few pennies and ruin it.

Agreed! I remember when Oreos and EL.Fudge cookies had creamy filling...now they seem dry to me...

Maybe it is some additive for freshness?

I think I remember reading something about Oreos going downhill when they switched from lard to tropical oil's. I think that's the case with a lot of baked and fried goods. They switched from lard, butter and vegetable oils to tropical oil's because they were cheaper.

And of course they tried to pawn it off as being "healthier".
