For offices and home users, this a lot of Bang for the Buck. In the US it has no TPM, therefore it is unusable as an Edge Device. The new Intel Nuc (supply still sparse) finally has TPM again and uses the gen 11 platform.

how does this work? I noticed that we need to purchase and install the ram and storage on our own. Will that be ready to be after installing the ram and storage?

Grossly overpriced without RAM and SSD. It should be the posted price with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. Then it'd be a decent box for streaming.

hear hear. my work laptop is a Lenovo T460s with dual-core CPU that lags like crazy for even the most basic tasks despite having more than enough RAM and SSD. quadcore+ or GTFO!

I agree with you about the price but this might still be a deal if you happen to have an extra SSD and RAM just sitting around. I had been selling my old computer equipment on EBay since October of 1995 but that's not worth the effort anymore since EBay imposed a "no questions asked" refund standard on sellers of even used equipment . So recently I have been accumulating 2 or 3 year old computer equipment in a box in my basement . I can see how something like this device may be a way to put this old equipment to use —but before I spend the money I'd have to find some worthwhile use for the resulting device.

I'm not sure what use cases are critical for this... bank teller PCs? Perhaps some other business software client programs/sites require this? Hopeful that asking will be more detailed than this resource I found: https://link.springer.com/chapter...2-6584-9_4

Good luck!
