i doubt they will die in just a couple of months but if they do you need to replace them asap. and for you second question assuming your case doesnt come with a fan then yes you will need at least one for exhaust
just make sure this fits in your case before buying it

I bought this after my air cooler started acting up sporadically. It keeps my CPU very cool despite my overclock. Highly recommended, especially at this price. And the RGB is just awesome.

Have this running on an OC'd 9700k and it stays very cool. RGB is a nice bonus, but not a big factor for my setup. It was easy to add to my Asus board to match colors. Runs quiet.
You'll probably need to replace this cheap fans within first few months fyi.
I've never liquidcooled befoer. You mean the RGB parts/things?
Are the fans gonna die, or just the LED functionality? Is airfans needed for liquidcoolers (i.e. if I get this and the fans break, is it OK to not buy replacements airfans relatively quick?)?
Lastly: This is just a cpu cooler right... so I still need airfans for my case?

so a ML240 should suffice just fine for a moderate OC

Did you make note of temps before and after usage of your aio?
