If you don't see your Model listed which was the case for me Click on Instant Chat. I got a live human being. I told her my Model Number was GWTN156-5BL and she said that the drivers are the same as GWTN156-2. I also had to give her my serial number.
Lastly I asked about the SSD slots, and here's the response I got.
Main slot is PCIe/SATA with a max drive of 256
Secondary slot is SATA with a max drive of 256
For a max total of 512
Please post your, if you were able to stuff a bigger drive into either slot.
Good Luck

I've had the blue one for about a month or so and I like it very much. The track pad is garbage, otherwise I don't have much to complain about. Oh, the power button is where "delete" goes so expect to punk yourself a few times.
I like the feel of it, the metal feeling lid helps it not feel super cheap.
I use it for prepping 3d models for my printer, and it's very good at what I ask it to do.
BTW it does charge via USB c despite it saying data only.
These aren't huge differences but I just want to set expectations for price vs. performance. Also according to specs and reviews the GWTN156-1 USB-C port supports charging too, whereas it's not clear if this one (GWTN156-5) does. (According to what I've read on other laptops, many USB-C ports that meet minimum standards support charging even if the manufacturers don't explicitly say so -- you just have to test it to find out).

Processor is more than enough for everyday task (comparable to i3 10100T), Vega 8 graphics are meh but it is better than any intel integrated graphics at this price point
False as noted above. You don't see significant gains over Intel until the Ryzen 5 and especially the Ryzen 7.
Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15" Laptop, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Quad-Core Processor, 8GB Memory, 256GB Solid State Drive, Windows 10, Abyss Blue, 81W1009DUS (Google Classroom Compatible) is this one better besides the 16gb memory on the gateway?
The Ars Technica review of the GWTN156-1[arstechnica.com] (the Intel version of basically the same laptop) details the weaknesses better than any review -- namely a flexy case (expected), disappointing battery life (especially on Linux), and awful SSD (Foresee M.2). Quote Ars: "Although the $500 Gateway's slightly more expensive mainstream competitors tend to have half its RAM, they also tend to double its storage performance"

Can I crack this open and install a larger drive?
That's the good news -- 2 slots, the OEM drive is replaceable and according the Ars, "The second M.2 slot, to the left of the CPU, is at least keyed properly for M.2 NVMe drives—but we did not try adding an NVMe-only drive to confirm."

Aside from costing $50 more atm, no USB-C, Wifi 5 vs 6 -- its display is TN not IPS, which alone is a deal-breaker for many people. See Lenovo's specs[lenovo.com], not Walmart's.
Looks like Gateways name was bought by Acer, if that makes a difference for anyone. Thinking of pulling the trigger since it can do all the basic functions I need to work from home in military status.

Benchmarks (by Passmark [cpubenchmark.net]) (higher is better): i5-1035g1: 7962, Ryzen 3 3450u: 7131; Intel UHD (10th gen): 1844, Vega 8: 1586.
