If you don't see your Model listed which was the case for me Click on Instant Chat. I got a live human being. I told her my Model Number was GWTN156-5BL and she said that the drivers are the same as GWTN156-2. I also had to give her my serial number.
Lastly I asked about the SSD slots, and here's the response I got.
Main slot is PCIe/SATA with a max drive of 256
Secondary slot is SATA with a max drive of 256
For a max total of 512
Please post your, if you were able to stuff a bigger drive into either slot.
Good Luck

I've had the blue one for about a month or so and I like it very much. The track pad is garbage, otherwise I don't have much to complain about. Oh, the power button is where "delete" goes so expect to punk yourself a few times.
I like the feel of it, the metal feeling lid helps it not feel super cheap.
I use it for prepping 3d models for my printer, and it's very good at what I ask it to do.
BTW it does charge via USB c despite it saying data only.
Still, Gateway is made by WALMART. This thing is a piece of crap.
Walmart doesn't make anything, they're just distributors - and Gateway was sold to Acer in 2007. This is a cheaply manufactured no name laptop that has Gateway name slapped on it. Have been several models of these Gateways sold as refurbished at VIP Outlet since the holidays. There are earlier threads on SD about these.

I don't trust the display. I've been seeing a lot of faux IPS panels. They will even be called "IPS like." I bought a AOC 27" display that was supposed to be IPS and it was shifty junk like a TN. I can't see a good IPS on a $350 laptop with only 250 nits. This is junk you given a 7-10 year old who will probably drop and break a laptop
It's completely worthless because of no GPU. Your $80 smartphone can do everything this laptop can do. So no, don't buy any laptop unless it has a dedicated GPU.
Although the purple one looks great!
At this price? Show me one.
That processor has very good graphics.

Finally a response from someone with credibility, an actual owner. Now I can make an informed decision.

I was incorrect: Gateway has been bought by Acer but Gateway laptops are manufactured by the same company that makes EVOO [arstechnica.com]. That said, the same manufacturers make most of the same computers for most of the same companies [npinc.ca].
